The Trust Funds and Temples Joint Secretariat is the executive arm to the Chinese Temples Committee and a number of charitable trust fund committees. The trust fund committees supported by the Secretariat make investments for the funds, and allocate resources to beneficiaries in accordance with their respective objectives and related schemes for providing scholarships and awards to students and financial assistance to the needy. Candidates should have:
- (i) Level 2 or above in 5 subjects (may include Chinese and English Language) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; with at least 1 year’s full-time clerical experience (please provide details of the public examination results obtained);
OR
(ii) Associate Degree / Bachelor Degree or above in any disciplines, or equivalent; - Level 2 or above in Chinese and English Languages in HKDSEE, or equivalent 【See Note (1)】;
- Proficiency in the application of common business softwares (including MS Word and Excel) as well as Chinese and English word processing; and
- Experience in Customer Service is preferable.
- To assist in handling applications for schemes of scholarships / grants under various trust funds, including preparation of summaries of applications and results, and answering simple enquiries, etc.
- To provide administrative support for various trust funds, including logistic arrangements of meetings and extracting application data from the online application system, etc.
- For appointment purpose, Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth; Level 1 in the Use of Chinese and Use of English papers of the Common Recruitment Examination are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 4 in Chinese Language and English Language of the HKDSEE.
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
This vacancy is a post on the Secretariat’s establishment. Salary of the position will be remunerated and subject to annual increment where applicable with reference to the Master Pay Scale of the Civil Service. It may also be subject to Civil Service pay adjustment. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule. Upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Employer to the MPF scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Scheme Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Other fringe benefits include 14 days annual leave, group medical and dental-care scheme.
